We Are The Ocean burst out of the gates last week with the release of their brand new track Bleed (free download) that has already received some amazing airplay with support coming in strong from Zane Lowe, Dan P Carter and Huw Stephens. Now, alongside this the band is ready to announce a huge month long club tour of the UK and mainland Europe in September/October. The tour will see them going back into tiny venues they haven’t visited for a long time and will give fans an opportunity to see them in an intimate space. With the current trajectory the band are on this could be the last time you see We Are The Ocean playing these size venues ever again.
WATO has spent the past month holed up in a studio with Peter Miles (The King Blues, Canterbury) working on their third studio album Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow (out September 14th on Hassle Records). With details being locked into place for the record it’s easy to see the new chapter of We Are The Ocean is going to be the most exciting yet. The band recently saw the departure of their second vocalist/shouter Dan Brown and are now a 4-piece. Originally emerging from the hardcore scene WATO have developed into one of the most interesting alternative rock bands from the UK.
Before hitting Magnet Club this fall on their first headline Europe tour WATO will play an acoustic show at Ramones Museum tonight presenting some old and new song in an intimate surrounding.
